At the working session, Chairman Hai briefed an overview of the local socio-economic situation, stressing the current infrastructure investment in the North-South expressway (Vinh Hao –Phan Thiet-Dau Giay sections) will foster the province to better connect with other provinces in the Southern and Central regions. Mr. Hai highlighted the province’s advantages and cutting-edge in the industry with a priority to clean energy industry such as solar, wind, off-shore wind power, and LNG gas-fires power. Besides, the locality is boosting to lure investment in industry processing such as the electricity supplementary sector, agro-forestry, and fishery processing sector.
In the field of trading, up to now, Binh Thuan and China have not yet reached official and major trade agreements but only some cross-border transactions. Therefore, Chairman Hai expected the Chinese guests will be a bridge to connect the commercial relation between Chinese businesses and Binh Thuan province.
With respect to Vinh Tan 1 thermoelectricity plant, Mr. Hai urged the Chinese part to strengthen environmental protection at the factory. Consulate-general Wu Jun thanked the province’s warm reception, expressing his delight with the province’s achievements and wishing many more developments in scientific solutions and economic growth, becoming a key economic region of the South in the future.

On the occasion, Chairman Hai offered the guests a painting souvenir “Phan Thiet Water tower”. In return, the Chinese Consulate-general, Vinh Tan 1 Thermopower plant and Chinese enterprises association in Ho Chi Minh City granted the provincial People’s Committee an amount of VND 600 Million, VND 840 million, and VND 100 million, respectively to the province’s social welfares (compassionate house constructions).
