Phu Quy island temporarily stops receiving visitors for Covid-19 prevention and control

BTO- The provincial People’s Committee lately agreed with an approval from Phu Quy island district on temporarily welcoming visitors amid the spread of Covid-19 nationwide.

The move aims to ensure the effective prevention and control of Covid-19 pandemic in the locality, contributing to protecting the community’s health. The provincial People’s Committee asked department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, department of Transport, People’s committee of Phu Quy district, basing on their functions, tasks, to inform residents and tourists about this restriction. Authorities of Phu Quy island are requested to intensify mobilization among the islanders so that they can join hands to fight against the epidemic. Phu Quy district’s people’s committee should take regular updates and report to the provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 prevention and control.
