500 youth rally to launch “Green Sunday” campaign in Binh Thuan

BTO – Some 500 youth union members, cadres, police officers, border guards throughout the province have rallied in Mui Ne ward, Phan Thiet city on July 24th afternoon to respond to “Green Sunday” as well as “Keep the beach Clean”campaigns. The event is held by the Central Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) with the attendance of secretary of the Central HCYU Nguyen Anh Tuan and vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Hoa.

Green Sunday is a meaningful, widespread and sustainable activity which connects the youth across the country to protect the environment and cope with climate change. This time, the program was held to improve people’s awareness of environmental protection and gather a mass of youth union members and adolescence to clean up the beaches, erase black spots of trash, bringing a much better surroundings for the ocean.

Addressing the launching ceremony, Tuan requested the HCYU at all levels to make good deploy of the “Green Sunday” and “Keep the Beach clean” campaigns through specific and practical actions basing on each locality’s conditions.

Each youth union members, children will partake in the campaigns for the community’s sake. First and foremost, each cadre, youth union member should keep the environment right at their workplace, residence and adjacent areas.
