The campaign, which was attended by Mr. Tran Sinh Toan- deputy Secretary of the provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Branch cum chairman of the provincial Committee of Vietnam Youth Federation, included many charitable activities, such as giving free health checks up, consultancy and free medicine for poor people in Phan Thiet city. Young health workers also helped people to use the NCOVI, an official application of Ministry of Health and Ministry of Information and Communications to assist people nationwide to make voluntary medical declarations to prevent COVID-19. 150 residents with difficult circumstances were presented gifts including necessary commodities, rice, meat, eggs and vegetables. Also at the event, the organizers partnered with Saigon Dental clinic to give free-of-charge dental exams to 100 children in Phan Thiet City.
According to Mr. Tran Sinh Toan, the event is among regular activities held annually to mark President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday. Through this charitable campaign, young doctors and nurses have showed their pioneering spirit for the health of the whole people. The provincial Committee of Vietnam Youth Federation and the provincial Association of Young Physicians have directed their affiliates at all levels to organize such programs across the province.
