The delegation surveyed trade centers, wholesale markets, and handicraft shops in the capital city of Vientiane. Here, the members of the delegation learned about the trading methods, exchange of goods in Laos; visited booths showcasing agricultural products, handicrafts, and services, evaluating the quality, design of products as well as the needs and consumer preferences of the Laotian people. The members of the delegation acknowledged that many products here, such as coffee, pepper, and chili, have similar quality to those in Binh Thuan. However, Vietnamese products are not yet widely present in the Laotian market. Therefore, the delegation also introduced typical rural industrial products from Binh Thuan province to Laos, such as processed products from dragon fruit; distinctive agricultural and aquatic products; and a safe food supply chain.
Through this survey, the delegation from Binh Thuan province will gather useful information for exchanging cooperation, attracting investment, implementing development strategies, expanding the consumer market, enhancing product value, and promoting exports in the new situation.
