Even before the summer peak, Binh Thuan has proven itself to be an attractive destination with its signature image: “Blue sea – White sand – Golden sunshine.” In the first four months of 2025, the province welcomed over 3.57 million visitors, a 16.37% increase compared to the same period last year. Of these, 206,300 were international travelers, marking a 25.74% growth. Specific holiday periods saw strong tourism numbers: Lunar New Year (Tet At Ty): 220,000 visitors. Hung Kings Commemoration Day: 85,000 visitors. April 30 – May 1 (Reunification Day & Labor Day): 228,000 visitors. By mid-year, total arrivals are estimated to reach around 5.54 million, maintaining a double-digit growth of over 18% year-on-year.

As Binh Thuan heads into summer, it has received a boost from international media. British newspaper The Independent recently named Mũi Né as one of the six must-visit places in Vietnam. Alongside destinations like Mù Cang Chải, Đà Lạt, Bái Tử Long Bay, Phong Nha, and Quy Nhơn, Mũi Né was recognized for its off-the-beaten-path charm, lively markets, rich cuisine, and natural beauty. The article advised travelers to skip the crowds in Nha Trang and instead head further south to relax on Mũi Né’s beaches and enjoy fresh seafood. Mũi Né is not just about the sea—it also boasts iconic red and white sand dunes, perfect for off-road vehicles and sandboarding.
According to Booking.com’s "Travel Trends 2025" report, beach getaways are the top choice among Vietnamese travelers this summer, accounting for 61% of searches. Nature exploration follows closely at 59%, with urban tourism at 45%.
For Binh Thuan, summer is typically the high season for domestic tourists, thanks to its coastal appeal, convenient transport, entertainment options, and diverse cuisine. In preparation, the province has rolled out a tourism stimulus plan titled *“Binh Thuan – Endless Experiences.”* This plan focuses on discounted pricing, enhanced tourist experiences, bundled service packages, and coordinated promotions across destinations and services.
Visitor numbers to Phu Quy Island—a gem off Binh Thuan’s coast—are expected to rise sharply. The Phu Quy Port Authority has already released the June 2025 schedule for the Phan Thiet – Phu Quy high-speed ferry, with 8 to 9 trips every weekend to accommodate both tourists and locals.
To boost tourism this summer, the province is coordinating with airlines, railways, and travel companies to create attractive promotional packages. Local businesses are encouraged to offer special discounts or complimentary gifts to visitors. A list of promotional offers and packages is set to be announced in early June as part of the province’s tourism stimulus strategy.
With its natural strengths, ongoing promotion, and proactive planning, Binh Thuan is fully prepared to welcome the expected surge of visitors this summer. The province is targeting over 11 million tourist arrivals for all of 2025, aiming to further cement its place as one of Vietnam’s top coastal destinations.
