The opening ceremony for the 2024 - 2025 school year was organized by schools throughout the province in a concise, solemn, and meaningful manner, bringing a cheerful and confident spirit to both teachers and students as they embark on the new academic year.
It can be seen that from urban areas to rural, remote regions, and island, schools in the province have enthusiastically organized the opening ceremony of the new school year, fostering a cheerful and confident atmosphere among teachers and students.
Generally, the opening ceremonies were brief and light, focusing on the students. In addition to traditional rituals such as raising the national flag, singing the national anthem, reading the President’s letter for the opening day, the principal announcing the start of the new school year, and striking the school bell, the welcoming ceremony for first-year students was conducted with great formality. Notably, for preschool level, the opening ceremony truly became a “Celebration Day for Children,” featuring artistic performances and interactions suitable for the children’s psychology on their first day of school.
After the formalities, many schools organized diverse activities and playgrounds themed around the school year, tailored to the students’ age group, creating a joyful atmosphere as they enter the new academic year.
It is noteworthy that on the opening day of school, various organizations, benefactors, and alumni mobilized to provide scholarships, textbooks, and bicycles to students facing particularly difficult circumstances and those from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them to have better conditions to confidently attend school. In Phú Quý district, 306 scholarships were awarded to students in need, with a total funding of nearly 200 million VND, creating motivation for them to excel in their studies.
At the Provincial Compassion School, there are 80 students for the 2024 - 2025 school year, most of whom come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and lack familial support.
On the occasion of the new school year’s opening, these students received 80 sets of physical education uniforms donated by the Provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission. Additionally, they received rice and clothing as a result of the school’s efforts to solicit donations from benefactors.
Located in the highland area of Ham Thuan Nam district, My Thanh Primary School faces many hardships. Before the new school year 2024 - 2025, the school mobilized resources to support scholarships for poor students, provide textbooks, uniforms, and build canopies, with a total value of over 168 million VND, contributing to the improvement of educational quality in the highlands. Specifically, during the opening ceremony, the school awarded 15 scholarships to underprivileged students, helping them to confidently continue their education.
The sound of the school bell rang out, marking the beginning of a new academic year filled with efforts and promising results. The 2024-2025 school year, themed “Innovative Reform, Quality Enhancement, Unity and Discipline,” will see the implementation of the 2018 General Education Program across all grades from 1 to 12, and it will also be the first year to organize the High School Graduation Exam according to the 2018 General Education Program. Along with the nation, the education sector in the province continues to innovate, enhance quality, and strive to achieve the set goals to the best of their ability.
For the 2024 - 2025 school year, the province has 575 schools (kindergarten, primary, secondary, and high schools), including 531 public schools and 44 private schools, with over 300,000 students and more than 16,930 teachers.
