Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong emphasized that Vietnamese people have gone through a long, arduous, and sacrificial revolutionary struggle against colonial and imperialist domination and invasion to protect the country's national independence and sacred sovereignty, for the freedom and happiness of the people. National independence associated with socialism is the Party's fundamental and consistent way, the principle of the Vietnamese revolution's success, and the key point in Ho Chi Minh's ideological legacy. Socialism is an objective requirement, the only inevitable and correct path to achieve freedom, prosperity, and happiness for the Vietnamese people. In particular, as Head of the Central Steering Committee on anti-corruption and anti-negativity, with a very high political determination, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong directed resolutely, persistently, synchronously, comprehensively, systematically, in-depth, with breakthroughs, linking anti-corruption and anti-negativity with Party building and rectification and the political system.
