Attending the ceremony, there were Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of the Culture, Sport and Tourism; Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh – Director of Vietnam Administration of Tourism as well as representatives of leaders of tourism provinces across the country. On the province’s part, there were Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung – Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh - Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hai – Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, and so forth.
On behalf of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh granted recognition decision to the the locality. Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Hung said Mui Ne has become a renowned destination and been called a “resort capital” in Vietnam. The ministry’s recognition will help increase the value of the brand “Mui Ne”, form a system of national tourist sites across the country, and also mark the development of Binh Thuan’s tourism, he added.
Mui Ne National tourist site spreads across some 14,760ha of coastal land from Phan Ri Cua township of Tuy Phong district to Phu Hai ward of Phan Thiet city, with a core area of about 1,000ha for developing tourism facilities. Binh Thuan is expected to welcome 75-80 percent of the domestic visitors and 90-95 percent of all foreign travellers to the province thanks to its vast sand dunes, awful landscapes, unique culture, and fresh seafood specialties.
For the local part, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Hoa affirmed the province’s effort to combat against Covid-19 pandemic, overcoming difficulties during the post-Covid-19, keeping to promote its advantages to become a spearhead industry and a national sea sports center.
