Phan Thiet: Russian Tourists welcome Orthodox Christmas

BTO - Christmas for Orthodox Christian communities in some Eastern European countries and Russia is officially celebrated on January 7. There is a difference of 13 days between the Gregorian and the Julian calendars.

 According to the Julian calendar, their feasts run 13 days behind the Gregorian calendar. Therefore, many hotels and resorts in Phan Thiet city held jubilant activities for Russian customers on January 6 – 7th.

The number of Russian tourists to Phan Thiet, especially Ham Tien and Mui Ne wards has rapidly increased since direct flights from Moscow to Ho Chi Minh city have recovered. Binh Thuan welcomed more than 46,000 international arrivals from Russia, China, Thailand, Germany, South Korea, and the UK…, up 8.52 percent month on month and 6.1 percent compared to the same period in 2015.
