BTO – Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee Doan Anh Dung has recently issued a document on strengthening the management, protection, and promotion of intangible cultural heritage values in the province.

Reportedly, The south-central province of Binh Thuan is home to four national-level intangible cultural heritages, namely the Kate Festival, the pottery craft of Cham people, the Thay Thim Palace Festival, and the Cau Ngu festival in Van Thuy Tu temple. Each of these has contributed to promoting the local tourism industry.

Accordingly, the Departments of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities according to their assigned functions and tasks are assigned to coordinate and effectively implement protection activities and promote the value of heritages. The move is conducted in accordance with the National Action Program that the Government of Vietnam has committed to UNESCO for the heritages registered by UNESCO, namely “Don ca tai tu” and the art of making Traditional pottery of the Cham people in Binh Duc village, Phan Hiep commune, Bac Binh district.

The protection measures are recorded in the scientific records for the heritages included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List, including the traditional pottery craft of the Cham people in Binh Duc village, the Kate Festival, Thay Thim Palace festival, and Cau Ngu festival in Van Thuy Tu temple.
