While the return of tourism activities in the “resort capital” Ham Tien - Mui Ne begins to warm up, the south of the province such as Tien Thanh and Tan Thanh (Ham Thuan Nam) is vibrant with community tourism activities. Our car drove along the coastal road to Ke Ga village, Tan Thanh commune, Ham Thuan Nam district which is located about 30 km from Phan Thiet City at the weekend.
Indeed, nature has endowed the land of Binh Thuan with a long coastline, with extremely rich and diverse tourism resources. Particularly in Ham Thuan Nam, the Lighthouse - Ke Ga has long become an important highlight of the tourism industry not only in Ham Thuan Nam but also in the whole province. With a prime location, a gentle and shielded coastline between Ke Ga and Hon Lan, many tourist resorts, campsites, and coastal picnics are located in Ke Ga village. Specifically, the Lu Glamping campsite, has attracted a lot of tourists to explore. The characteristics of a coastal area, with a long and thick tradition of marine culture mixed with specialized agricultural areas, are typical in this land, attracting tourists from everywhere.
Mr. Ngo Quoc Tai - Owner of Lu Glamping Campground shared: The campground has been in operation for more than 5 years. However, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, we had to close and stop working for the past 2 years. Gladly from the beginning of 2022 until now, the family campsite has just reopened and attracted a large number of visitors. Mr. Tai said that the campsite has a scale of 3.2 hectares, stretching along the coast, about 500 meters from Hai Dang-Ke Ga. This coastal area is also shielded by Hon Lan. With that geographical position, a beautiful, calm, peaceful, and romantic sea attracting tourists is created.
According to the establishment's introduction, the campsite has a scale of 10 rooms equipped with air-conditioners, dormitories, and many tents, with a capacity of over 800 people. Visitors and overnight guests stay here mainly from Ho Chi Minh city. They normally travel with a group of friends, family, or company on the weekends. The room rental (tent) is from 200,000 - 800,000 VND/room/night, visitors can choose entertainment and on-site dining services. At the same time, they can go to the market, cook, and experience interesting and thrilling activities in the sea.
Visitors' experiences at the campsite
As shared by Ms. Nguyen Mai Ha, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City: “I love the space and beautiful scenery in this place. This is my second visit to this place with my family to relax and experience. If traveling as a family with kids, often visitors will choose to book a room with a design from a lovely container with cool air conditioning, priced at 600,000 - 700,000 VND/night. Another option is wooden houses in the shape of triangles painted in "rainbow" colors next to blooming bougainvillea trees, Ms. Ha added.
Indeed, a night at the coastal campsite of Binh Thuan is a gorgeous picture, in front of my vision is a shimmering lighthouse, with flashing lights from anchored boats. On the gentle sand, there are bright campfires are lit in front of the rows of tents. Groups of tourists sat together, enjoying grilled fish, the spoils of a fishing net, and a plate of fresh squid bought from a rural market. Those experiences such as enjoying the sound of chatting, singing, and flashmob dances by the pink fire, in front of the waves of the sea, etc. can make visitors hardly forget.
On the occasion of the upcoming 30/4 holiday, Lu Glamping campsite in particular and many community tourist attractions in Ham Thuan Nam, Ham Tien, and Mui Ne, in general, have fully booked. That is one of the positive signals, starting the summer tourism season in 2022 with hope. With the current new trend, promoting the development of community-based tourism is an important issue to develop Binh Thuan tourism in the direction of product diversification and sustainability in the coming period.
