According to Booking.com, the top 10 favorite destinations chosen for “spring travel, festive Tet” by domestic guests this year are based on search and booking data from February 8th to 14th (from the 29th of the last lunar month to the 5th day of Tet). Specifically, Da Lat, Nha Trang, and Da Nang hold the top 3 spots in terms of search popularity due to the harmonious combination of majestic natural landscapes, dreamy beaches, and unique cultural backgrounds. Following them are Vung Tau, Phu Quoc, Ho Chi Minh City, Mui Ne, Hanoi, Sa Pa, and Hoi An.
Vietnamese people consider Lunar New Year as a time for family reunions in the setting of long-standing customs and traditions, looking forward to a hopeful journey for the upcoming year. Besides beach tourism remaining a top choice for Vietnamese travelers, according to Booking.com’s survey, tourists also tend to seek destinations with cooler weather, with 82% of those surveyed expressing interest in holiday types focused on water-related activities and organizing various activities with a Vietnamese Tet flavor.
