1.Binh Thuan to host National Tourism Year 2023- Binh Thuan-Green Tourism Comes Together”.
On October 5, 2022, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 2451/QD-BVHTTDL approving the scheme to organize the National Tourism Year 2023 under the theme “Binh Thuan-Green Tourism Comes Together”. The 2023 National Tourism Year in Binh Thuan has 208 events and activities, including 13 national-level activities organized by the Ministry of Culture -Sports and Tourism and other ministries, central departments/agencies. Binh Thuan will host a series of 31 special international, national and regional events throughout the country.
2. Launching the Contest “Vietnam’s Aspiration: Turning Phan Thiet into a World’s Leading MICE and Wellness Tourism by 2045”.
The announcement ceremony of the contest “Vietnam’s Aspiration: Turning Phan Thiet into a World’s Leading MICE and Wellness Tourist Destination by 2045” was held in Centara Mirage Resort Mui Ne on September 10. The contest, which is chaird over by the provincial People’s Committee and sponsored by Novaland Group, aims to seek for valuable ideas for Binh Thuan’s investment directions; call for investment projects suitable for the strong development of the MICE and Wellness tourism- a high-quality tourism model with an aspiration to make Phan Thiet city to be a leading MICE and Wellnese tourism destination in the world by 2045.
3.Approving the project on training, fostering and developing tourism human resources in Binh Thuan period 2022-2025 with the orientation to 2030.
The target by 2025, with an orientation to 2030, Binh Thuan strives to build up its human resource that is sufficient in quantity and well-proportioned in terms of industry structure and training standards,ensuring high-quality human resources to meet the demand for rapid and sustainable development of tourism sector, turning tourism into a spearhead and key economic pillar of Binh Thuan province.
On July 11, 2022, The provincial People’s Committee issued Decision No. 1525/QD-UBND on approving the project training , fostering and developing tourism human resources in Binh Thuan province period 2022-2025, with an orientation to 2030.
4. The project on management, investment and exploitation of tourist routes and attractions in Phan Thiet city (Phan Thiet City Tour) period 2021-2015 approved.
On January 11, 2022, the provincial People’s Committee promulgated Decision No. 113/QD-UBND on ratifying the project on the management, investment and exploitation of tourist routes and destinations in Phan Thiet city (Phan Thiet City Tour) period 2021-2025. For a sustainable development of Phan Thiet tourism in particular and Binh Thuan tourism in general, and soon becoming a spearhead economic sector, the promotion of diversified development of tourism models and products plays a very important role.
5. The opening of Circus Land Coastal Park-NovaWorld Phan Thiet
On January 7, 2022, the Circus Land Coastal Theme Park in NovaWorld Phan Thiet was officially opened. The park, which has a total area of 1.5 hectares, provides a new tourism product for visitors coming to Binh Thuan province, with 7 types of thrilling games, as follows: Happy Wheel, Powerful Propeller, Floating Dream, Let’s Fly up, Illusion Flying Saucer, Conquer sea monster, the train through the air…. In addition, there are many exciting shows with colorful parades are also organized to serve for tourists.
6. Ignauguration of Binh Thuan Smart Tourism Portal
On April 12, 2022, Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism in collaboration with VNPT Binh Thuan held a ceremony to launch Binh Thuan provincial Smart Tourism Portal at https://muinevietnam.vn. The portal aims to provide a tourism ecosystem, creating an interaction between 3 factors: tourist, administration and business, and building a high-quality tourism sector in favour of visitors. It helps visitors make plans, and find accommodations, tourist destinations, and services via scanning QR code or downloading a related app.
7. Binh Thuan Tourism Trading Floor launched
On May 28,2022, department of Culture-Sports and Tourism, in partnership with Viettel Binh Thuan, held a ceremony to announce Binh Thuan Tourism Trading Floor at www.travelbook.vn/binhthuan. This online transaction channel helps tourism enterprises connect with their partners to do business more effectively; entertainment sites and culinary arts.. for visitors.
8. QR (Quick Response) Code applications installed at tourists attactions in Binh Thuan
To concretize scientific applications and digitalize Binh Thuan’s tourism data with promotion and advertisement activities of tourism industry, QR codes have been installed at a number of popular tourists sites, such as: Duc Thanh relic, Ho Chi Minh museum –Binh Thuan branch, Posha Inu Cham tower, Phan Thiet Water tower, Van Thuy Tu Temple, Thanh minh pagoda, Doi Duong Park, ong Dia Rocky Expanse, Suoi Tien, Bau Trang ecotourism area, Phu Quy Port, Ta Cu Mountain, Thay Thim palace…
9. Launching “Green tourism” products at Phu Quy island and Cu Lao Cau
With the aim to build and develop a variety of tourism products meeting criteria of green, clean, beautiful, safe and attractive destinations; promoting the preservation of the environment, natural landscapes and biodiversity to well exploit potentialities in the localities, the program “Green Tourism” was launched in Phu Quy island district and Cu Lao Cau (Tuy Phong district). This program consists of meaningful activities in the cause of environmental protection in sea and islands along with building unique tourism products.
10. Number of domestic visitors coming to Binh Thuan saw skyrocketing increase, reaching 5.7 million.
In 2022, tourism volume to Binh Thuan sharply increased compared to that of the previous year, with an accumulation of 5,720,000 turns, raising by 3.2 times, (achieving 128.5% of the year’s plan). In which, there were 5,644,500 turns of domestic visitors (a 3.2 time-increase), reaching 133% of the plan. Tourism sector enjoyes the results mentioned above thanks to a number of changes: 90% of tourism business have been authorized to reopen; several stimulus packages with attractive discounts; favorable weather; traffic conditions improved. At the same time, local functional agencies have organized several cultural, sports and tourism programs which helped attract more and more tourists from other localities.
