Binh Thuan is one of the largest fishing grounds in Vietnam,with an abundant source of seafood. Fisheries and aquaculture have greatly contributed to economic development of the province over the past years. With such advantage and potentiality brought by marine economy, local leaders have offered many incentives and support for domestic and international enterprises to invest in seafood production companies. Responding the province’s authorities’ call and under the support of related departments, units, the Japan-based Trans Pacific Seafood Company Ltd., has opened its branch in Phan Thiet city. The factory, equipped with state-of-the-art production lines, is expected to ensure high-quality supply of marine products for consumers in many countries.
Addressing the ceremony, Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Hai stressed that the factory’s inauguration has met the expectation of Binh Thuan’s leaders and people, with the strong hope that the company would fully exploit marine sources to maitain its prodcution lines and ensure employment for the local labour forces, contributing to boosting socioeconomic development of Binh Thuan province. He urged Trans Pacific Seafood Company to promote its production and business efficiency to provide domestice and international markets with high-quality seafood products. He also asked the company to pay attention to environmental protection, food hygiene & safety, labour safety as well as ensure the workers’ interests.
