The Phan Thiet city’s Statistics released that, as many as 2.3 million visitors paid a visit to the coastal city in the last 6 months of 2023, a year-on-year increase of 28 percent. Of these, international visitors make up roughly 85,000 turns, a four-fold increase over the same period last year.
Subsequently, revenues from tourism have harvested approximately VND6,800 billion, rising by 1.8 times.
Such positive signals from the local tourism sectors come from a series of favorable factors such as the event of Visit Vietnam Year 2023, the recently-opened expressway of Phan Thiet-Dau Giay, and a variety of impressive activities of the city.
First and foremost, the city authorities are dramatically determined to turn Phan Thiet city into “a safe and friendly destination” in the eyes of holiday-makers and visitors, especially on big Holidays. Noticeably, all forces put every effort to collect garbage and protecting the clean environment. In the meantime, it is essential to enhance patrols, food hygiene, and safety, fire-fighting, and rescue work so that incidents among visitors can be minimized.
