Binh Thuan leaders hailed Ambassador of Vietnam Tourism in South Korea

Welcoming and honored to receive the working delegation from Binh Thuan, Ambassador of Vietnam Tourism in South Korea Ly Xuong Can said: The Vietnam Tourism Promotion Office in South Korea, since its establishment in 2019, has always made utmost efforts in its role as a representative to introduce the diverse tourism products of Vietnam, including Binh Thuan.

Specifically, the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Office in South Korea has been cooperating with the South Korean government agencies, local authorities, television stations, publishers, and media agencies to implement activities promoting the image of Vietnamese tourism in South Korea such as: supporting major South Korean television stations MBC, MBN, SBS to film videos at some famous tourist destinations in Vietnam such as Da Lat, Nha Trang, Mui Ne, Hai Phong; Screening cultural and tourism promotion videos of Vietnam at Daegu International Airport, South Korea; “Our goal is for Vietnam to become a more friendly and welcoming country to Korean tourists,” the Ambassador of Vietnam Tourism said.

At the working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Binh Thuan Nguyen Minh provided information on the potential and strengths of Binh Thuan tourism. Accordingly, the tourism products of Binh Thuan are increasingly attractive and diverse with a continuously developing system of high-quality tourist accommodation facilities.

In 2023, Binh Thuan is expected to welcome around 8.3 million visitors, including approximately 220,000 international visitors. The number of tourists to the province is increasing at an average rate of 16.28% per year, with international visitors increasing by an average of 2.07 times per year and domestic visitors increasing by an average of 14.8% per year.

By now, Binh Thuan tourism has successfully positioned the brand of Mui Ne - Phan Thiet on the world tourism map, recognized and acclaimed by reputable magazines as an ideal destination. Currently, Binh Thuan with Mui Ne is one of the emerging destinations that has attracted significant interest from Korean tourists, offering experiences such as watching the sunrise over endless white sand dunes in the early morning, challenging oneself on beautiful golf courses where nearly 100% of the holes face the vast blue ocean, or savoring seafood specialties in beachfront resorts nestled behind the tropical coconut trees.

According to statistics, starting from 2023, Binh Thuan has seen a surge in the number of Korean visitors coming for sightseeing and relaxation, accounting for the highest proportion among international visitors to Binh Thuan.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee affirmed: In order to further attract the interest of Korean tourists, the Provincial People’s Committee of Binh Thuan will collaborate with localities and tourism businesses within the province to commit to developing preferential policies and demand-stimulating programs for Korean tourism businesses to bring visitors to Binh Thuan. Additionally, there will be a focus on creating new, attractive tourism programs and products tailored to the needs of Korean visitors. “We also warmly welcome and facilitate Korean investors to come and invest in developing tourism products in Binh Thuan.

With a positive and cooperative spirit, in the upcoming time, we hope that Korean travel companies and businesses will show more interest in closer collaboration with Binh Thuan enterprises, thereby contributing to the development of tourism in Binh Thuan specifically and Vietnam tourism in general,” the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee stated.

During the working session, the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Binh Thuan province exchanged ideas and proposed cooperation in several areas, including: Support in introducing and sharing information about tourism products and destinations in Binh Thuan to the Korean market through direct and online media channels (conferences, seminars, tourism events, websites, fan pages); Facilitating connections between Binh Thuan province and Korean travel business partners and media; Displaying promotional materials and information about tourism in Binh Thuan at the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Office in South Korea; Supporting the invitation of Fam tours and specialized press groups to conduct surveys on tourism in Binh Thuan. Additionally, signing a cooperation agreement in the field of tourism with Binh Thuan province.

Also, this afternoon, in the capital city of Seoul, South Korea, the working delegation from Binh Thuan will organize a tourism promotion conference for Binh Thuan. This event will be a key highlight for Binh Thuan to introduce and promote tourism in Binh Thuan to the Korean market, while also enhancing connections, expanding cooperation opportunities, and fostering bilateral tourism development.
