Among key export product groups, seafood performed an estimated export turnover of USD 166.62 USD (raising by 54.22%) while group of other products contributed USD 354.14 million (an increase of over 33%). Agricultural products only achieved USD 9.61 million (falling by 23.6%).
According to data of August’s export revenues, value of products directly exported to Asian markets (Japan, Taiwan, China, South Korea…) reached an estimate of USD 334.68 million (an increase of over 40% in comparison with that of the same period last year). In the same period, exports to Europe fetched about USD 58.26 (increasing by 27.67%), with the main markets in the U.K, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands. Exports to America reached a total value of more than USD 127 million (an approximate increase of 36%). Potential European markets of Binh Thuan’s exported products are the U.S, Canada…
Some typical products of Binh Thuan with high export turnovers include white-legged shrimp (exported to the U.S, Japan, Germany, the U.K..), frozen squid (exported to Japan, Taiwan, the U.S…), garment products (exported to Japan), foot-wear (exported to the U.S, Netherlands, Canada, Italy…).
