Phan Thiet welcomed nearly 6.3 million tourists in 2023

BTO – As many as 6.3 million tourists have arrived in Phan Thiet during the past year 2023, a year-on-year increase of 20 percent compared to the same period last year. Of which, there were approximately 200,000 foreign visitors, a 1.5 times increase compared to the same period last year. The 2023 revenue is projected to be around 14,800 billion VND, a 20% increase compared to 2022.

According to the Department of Culture and Information of Phan Thiet City, the increase in the number of visitors is attributed to favorable weather conditions, transportation infrastructure, and the vibrancy of cultural, sports, and tourism activities within the framework of the 2023 National Tourism Year “Binh Thuan - Convergence of Green”.

In addition, the quality of services and environmental sanitation at tourist establishments and community-based tourism sites has been improved. Regularly, tourist establishments mobilize staff to collect waste in the facilities and beach areas, ensuring a clean environment. There have been positive changes in social order and safety, ensuring the safety of tourists when swimming at the beach. Tourist establishments have also been implementing rescue and protection measures for tourists effectively.
