Binh Thuan to promote its tourism in the Mekong Delta

BTO – A conference to introduce Binh Thuan tourism to the provinces in the Mekong Delta took place on August 23rd afternoon in Can Tho city. The event attracted more than 100 travel enterprises, hotels and agencies from Binh Thuan and 13 provinces of the Mekong Delta. This is first time Binh Thuan has ever hosted such event in the heart city of Mekong Delta, to target at promoting images, scenery, people and cuisine of the fledgling tourist destination.

At the conference, Mrs. Nguyen Lan Ngoc, deputy Director of Binh Thuan department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shared that Mekong Delta region one of the 7 cutting-edge regions for the country’s tourism with generous people and many ecotourism and community-based spots, creating special cultural identity for the southern tourism.

The event is expected to make highlights for Binh Thuan tourism in the Mekong Delta, and open new tour in Phu Quy Island for the people from the Mekong delta. Binh Thuan is connecting with tourist areas in the localities to form sightseeing tours with a variety of tourism products and specialties. On the other hand, the province would boost cooperation with other provinces to exploit new products.

Along with such sustainable development, the Mekong Delta river region is one of potential markets of Binh Thuan tourism. Therefore, the cooperation between the Binh Thuan and the Mekong Delta river region is indispensable for mutual development.
