Three major commodity groups’ export turnover surged in October

BTO- Statistics showed that Binh Thuan's export turnover in October was estimated at USD37.8 million, increasing by 9.44 percent over the previous month but a little bit decrease of more than 15 percent compared to the same period last year. Among the 3 key commodity groups, seafood group was estimated at USD 14.2 million (up 6 percent over the previous month), the agricultural product group was estimated at 0.9 million USD (up 11.64 percent), and the group of miscellaneous commodities were estimated at 22.8 million USD (up 11.62 percent).

As of the beginning of 2020, the province's export turnover is estimated at USD 371.96 million. However, comparing with the same period last year, it still decreased by 3.1% due to the negative impact of Covid - 19. In which, the seafood group contributed USD 128.8 million (up 12.12% over the same period), while the agricultural products made USD 10.5 million (up 6.21%) and other goods brought about USD 232.7 million for the locality (down 10.2%, mainly in clothing and footwear).

The developments of Covid - 19 pandemic have been gradually controlled in Vietnam and some countries around the world, facilitating Binh Thuan’s exporters to revive their trading and manufacturing activities.
