At the program, the Provincial Youth Union awarded 1,200 sets of new textbooks to primary school children in the province who are ethnic minorities, poor, near-poor, disadvantaged and orphaned students. Total value is more than 2 million VND. At the same time, the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Team Council also presented more than 6,000 books belonging to "Kim Dong Bookcase - Spreading Dreams" to 10 difficult teams in the province, worth 355 million VND. The total value of the program is 555 million VND from the support of the Central Vietnam Student Association and a number of organizations and individuals inside and outside the province. "Thousands of books - Millions of dreams" is an activity to respond to the peak day "Volunteer for dear juniors" (August 1st) and is part of the series of programs "Reaching the love" developed by the Standing Board of the Provincial Youth Union in the Youth Volunteer Campaign Summer 2021.
Acting Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Lam Hong Tuyen shared: “Facing the complicated situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, affecting the lives of children, especially those from poor, disadvantaged, orphaned households, and orphans at high risk of dropping out of school. Realizing that urgency, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union coordinated with sponsors to implement the program "Thousands of books – millions of dreams" to support, share and join hands to cultivate their dreams. In the coming time, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union - the Provincial Team Council will continue to implement many practical programs and activities to care for and educate the youth and children of the province.
To ensure the prevention of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Standing Board of the Provincial Youth Union donated books representing a number of units, the rest were transported to the district unions for distribution and hand-delivered to the children.
