There were 100 Singaporean and 35
Vietnamese companies involved in this virtual meeting, which co-organized by the
Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore, departments of Industry and Trade of Binh
Thuan, Lam Dong and Ninh Thuan provinces, and Singapore Business Federation. Via
video clips, representatives of enterprises from the four locations introduced
specialties, industrial infrastructure, energy and transport networks.
On behalf of Binh Thuan province, Mr. Bien Tan Tai- deputy director of
department of Industry and Trade gave the conference a general view about Binh
Thuan’s potential, advantages and key sectors that the local authorities are
calling for investment , with the major products, as follows: seafood, farm
produce (dragon fruit and rubber trees), garment, footwear, timber and wooden
furniture; as well as infrastructure networks in industrial parks and industrial
clusters.
The event is part of efforts to promote transactions amid a global economic
slowdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
