The Chairman highlighted the economic development potential of the province to the Belarusian Consul General. He affirmed that the diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and the Republic of Belarus, which has been built over the years since the Soviet era, has been increasingly nurtured. This strong foundation paves the way for future cooperation.
In discussing the province’s economic potential, the Chairman pointed out that Binh Thuan is located on the southern coast of Central Vietnam, within the economically significant southern region. The province boasts a long coastline and vast fishing grounds with rich marine resources of high economic value. Additionally, it has significant potential for renewable energy development, such as solar and offshore wind power. Binh Thuan is also home to various mineral deposits, including the largest titanium reserves in the country. Currently, the province has nine industrial parks covering a total area of 3,000 hectares and is welcoming investors in the manufacturing and processing sectors.
As a token of goodwill, the Chairman presented the Belarusian Consul General with a photo book showcasing the land and people of Binh Thuan.
The locality also features numerous attractive tourist destinations and a variety of water sports, along with professional service quality. Each year, it welcomes a significant number of tourists from Eastern Europe. Therefore, it is hoped that the Consul General’s efforts will help bridge connections and introduce Belarusian businesses and tourists to the province for investment, exploration, and leisure. This collaboration also opens up opportunities to promote and export the province’s advantageous industrial and agricultural products, such as dragon fruit and textiles.
The Chairman concluded the meeting with wishes for the continued solidarity and cooperation between the two countries to flourish.
