Additionally, the project “Application of scientific and technical advances to build a linkage model for organic dragon fruit production in Binh Thuan province" has gained a license on organic certification from the local authorities. Of Which, 80 hectares of dragon fruit will be developed in 3 models, including 2 farms and 1 cooperative model.
Meanwhile, the province also constructs a dragon fruit chain covering a scale of 20 hectares in Ham Kiem commune, Ham Thuan Nam district, and grants GlobalGAP certificates as well as planting area codes for exports to China, Australia, America, etc. Newzealand, Korea, Japan.
In the coming time, the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will call upon and encourage businesses, cooperatives, and production facilities to boost technological investment in dragon fruit processing; deploy solutions to stabilizing production in the direction of sustainable linkage among chain participants, associated with the application of scientific and technical advances. The department is urged to step-by-step guide and support businesses, cooperatives, and farmers in the province to implement the plan of digital transformation in the agricultural sector, as well as the program “one commune one product (OCOP) in Binh Thuan province”.
Besides, it should make a list of cooperatives and OCOP subjects in localities participating in the training course on using production diary software and Cooperative accounting software in order to practice and effectively apply this software in production and business management.
