Binh Thuan Tourism welcomes 180,000 visitors during the Lunar New Year

According to the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the number of visitors to Binh Thuan for sightseeing and relaxation before Tet and on the 1st day of Tet is not high, but it starts to increase from the 2nd day of Tet. Thanks to the high influx of visitors, overall accommodation facilities throughout the province are almost fully booked, with some renowned resorts reaching maximum room capacity and extending bookings until the 4th day of Tet. Notable lodging establishments include K - Town, Wonderland, Novela, Sonata, Lang Tre, The Cliff, Bien Xanh, Vinpol Hotel, Asteria Mui Ne, Sun & Sand.

On average, the average room occupancy rate of hotels and resorts during the Lunar New Year of the Tiger reaches 75 - 85%, estimated from February 8th to 13th, 2024 (from the 29th of the last lunar month to the 4th day of Tet), with the entire province expected to receive around 180,000 visitors for sightseeing and relaxation.

As usual, local lodging businesses actively create tourism stimulus programs, introduce new and attractive packages, and focus on providing quality services to attract tourists. Many lodging establishments also organize competitions for making traditional square cakes (bánh chưng), cylindrical glutinous rice cakes (bánh tét), outdoor Gala Dinner parties, traditional musical instrument and international music performances, early New Year lucky money giving, traditional games, lion and dragon dances, and recreate a village Tet market and so on.s

During this period, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism also organized a program to serve the provincial leaders in meeting and extending New Year wishes to tourists and businesses at K - Town Resort in Phan Thiet (Tien Thanh Commune, Phan Thiet City) and welcoming and giving lucky money to the first visitors to Binh Thuan at Phan Thiet Station on the 1st day of the Lunar New Year 2024.
