Thay Thim palace festival to kick-start month of pilgrimage

BTO – The traditional cultural event of Thay Thim palace festival was officially kicked off on October 22 at Tan Tien commune, La Gi town. The three-day event includes a series of traditional rites and cultural activities such as: welcoming the Deities, the procession of Royal Decrees and heritage certificate recognition, offering incense, rite of “nhap dien an vi”, “cung ngo”, “thi thuc phat loc”, “thinh sanh”, worship of the ancestors…

The special rituals of Welcoming Gods and Royal decrees

The ceremony starts from 5:00 AM until 11:00AM, luring a great number of pilgrims and visitors from inside and outside the province.

The rituals offered pilgrims very impressive experiences on spiritual values as visiting Thay Thim palace festival. Besides the morning rituals, there will be sports games, lion dances, as well as art shows performed by artists from Ho Chi Minh City to serve for visitors and pilgrims on the afternoons. The event is broadcast live on BTV channel of Binh Thuan Television and Station.

According to Mrs. Bay - a pilgrim from Tien Giang province, she arrived in the venue from very early to participate in the welcoming ceremony – one of the significant rites of the whole festival.
