Almost all of tourists, which are mainly domestic visitors, travelled to destinations in Ham Tien-Mui Ne (Phan Thiet city), La Gi town and Tuy Phong district. On peak period of Tet (from the second to the fifth day of the Lunar New Year), room capacity of many tourist accomodations in Ham Tien-Mui Ne areas filled only 30-40% while the previous years had reached almost 100%. Some hotels, resorts posted room capacity of 10-30%.
Local tourist accomodations are offering different policies on rooms cancellation or postponement while some refunded booking fees. Currently, only 70% of all tourist facilities in Binh Thuan are staying open for visitors. At the same time, the number of people going pinics or visiting popular tourist hotspots such as: Cam Binh, Co Thach pagoda, Hon Rom, Doi Duong, Tien Thanh….has sharply decreased about 50% against that of the previous Tet holiday.
To ensure the safety for tourists amid the new resurgence of Covid-19 outbreak, tourism authorities have given guidelines to accommodation facilities to implement daily Covid-19 reports and connect with national system for Covid-19 safety.
Tourism enterprises, tourist establishments and visitors are also asked to strictly apply regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control and carry out all protective measures to ensure visitors’ safety.
Generally, most of tourism facilities in Binh Thuan have well prepared for welcoming and serving visitors with high-quality tourism products and services as well as reasonable prices.
