Seafood export turnover hits USD 99.81 million in the first 8 months

BTO – The Vietnamese seafood markets, including Binh Thuan province, have been heavily affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, causing a sharp decrease in other big Exported markets (China, Japan, South Korea, etc.), according to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

However, the seafood processing and exporting activities have rather revived with much delighted signal.

The local seafood exporters have made their every effort to maintain their traditional markets with an increase in order forms compared to other markets of Japan, Taiwan, Germany, the Netherlands, China, etc.  

The first 8-month accumulation of seafood export turnover hits USD 99.8 million, fulfilling 71.3 percent of the year plan (USD 140 million), a year-on-year increase of 12.9 percent. The exportation of seafood output reaches 12,792 tons in the first 8 months, 2,020 higher than that of the same period last year.
