Reportedly, the serious coastal landslide has put nearby residential areas on high risks, along with estuarine sediments occurring in Lien Huong townlet have threatened further coastal erosion, putting residents’ lives and property, as well as public constructions on danger. Clearing off narrow passages at Lien Huong estuary is expected to ensure safety and facilitate fishing vessels’ entrance to fishing logistic areas and anchorages or typhoon shelter.
Two projects started construction since 2019. In which, the projects of building stone embankment system have been finished about 90%. The project of dredging Lien Huong estuary, which has a total length of 946 meters, is also under construction. Those projects are scheduled to be completed and put into use in September 2020 to complete the sea embankment system in Tuy Phong district, contributing to responding to climate change, preventing and easing the consequence of natural disasters.
