Vietnam records 30 types of goods with export revenue of over US$1 billion each

Vietnam saw 30 types of goods reporting export revenue of over US$1 billion each in the January-November period of 2019, accounting for 91.6% of Vietnam’s total export revenue.

According to the General Statistics Office (GSO), the country posted US$241.42 billion worth of export revenue in the first 11 months of this year, up 7.8% compared to the same period last year.

The country also witnessed five types of goods with export revenue of over US$10 billion each, occupying 59.6% of Vietnam’s total export revenue.

In the 11-month period, phones and components reported the highest export revenue of US$48.7 billion, making up 20.2% of total export revenue and up 5.4% compared to the same period last year.

Electronics products, computers and components had an export revenue of US$32.4 billion, up 19.4% over the same period last year.

Garment and textile; footwear; machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts were also among goods posting export revenue of over US$10 billion each.

The US continued to be the largest export market of Vietnam and it was followed by the EU, China, ASEAN, Japan and the Republic of Korea.

During the 11-month period, 35 types of goods recorded import revenue of over US$1 billion each, accounting for 90% of total import revenue.
