The 42-megawatt solar power plant, invested by Solarcom JSC, started construction in August, 2018 on a total area of 60 ha with an investment capital of VND 974 billion. The average power output is estimated at 67 million kilowatts per year.
The plant uses 1,500 V DC technology, 127,260 polyctystaline solar panels (each panel has a capacity of 330 watts) installed at the plant with dual glass solar module. As reported Phong Phu Solar Power Plant has been on trial operation since March 31 before being added to national power source on April 27. The event mark an important step of the investment in developing renewable energy resources, contributing to driving socioeconomic development of Binh Thuan province.
