BTO- The provincial Library on June 16 organized a book festival in Nguyen Du secondary school, Phan Thiet city, with the participation of 600 students from 8 schools.

At the event, which aims to raise reading culture among students and bring more good books to young readers, students learnt how to read a book effectively and chose their favorite books that were arranged on a mobiled vehicle. The festival provided a series of book titles, such as: fairy tales, comics books,  living skills, books telling about Uncle Ho’s life and revolutional career … Beside practising reading habit, students also took part in many useful games and contests to tell their feelings about the content of a certain book that they’ve ever read.

According to Mrs Nguyen Thai Ngoc Han- official of the provincial Library, this is  a meaningful activity to take books to students of primary and secondary schools, contributing to promoting reading culture. This mobiled book vehicle  is expected to come to 20 schools across the province.

In the framework of this mini book festival, the provincial Library granted gifts to 5 poor studious students. The gifts (worth VND 300,000 each) are presented by Binh Thuan Lottery Company. Especially, the management board of  Nguyen Du secondary school awarded scholarship worth VND 2.5 million to a student with extremely difficult circumstances.
