The ceremony had the attendance of Mr. Dang Hong Sy- member of the provincial Standing Party Committee cum head of the provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization, representative leaders of departments, branches and agencies, and about 500 youth union members.

Mr. Nguyen Hoai Trung- deputy secretary of the provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union branch, who takes responsibility for directing this year’s campaign, highly appreciated the youth’s enthusiasm, voluntary spirit, and the desire for dedication, practice to grow up. He stressed that each youth union member should promote the solidarity, responsibility, innovation.
This year’s summer volunteer campaign, which is scheduled to take place from July 1-August 8, is planned with of 4 volunteer campaigns, including the “green volunteer campaign” for students of universities/colleges, “red flamboyant campaign” for high school students; “green operation” for youth union members of people’s armed forces; and “Red vacation” for civil servants. All campaigns will be deployed in all wards/communes/townlets in the province, with the purpose of supporting localities to finish criteria for the recognition of new style rural area in 2020, as well as assisting people in outlying areas.
At the launching ceremony, donors inside and outside the province handled over 70 bicycles to the organizers as gifts for poor studious students. Phan Thiet charity foundation also donated VND 170 million for the construction of 3 compassion houses for poor households in the localities. In addition, the organizers presented 15 water tanks and 20 gifts to policy-favored families in Ham Phu commune. A playground worth VND 30 million was given to children of Ham Phu commune. 10 scholarships and 5 bicycles were given to students with difficult circumstances. The organizers have donated a fund of VND 500 million for the implementation of the model “Religious youth startup”, and 1,000 trees of acacia auriculiformis to the tree-planting program “For a Green Vietnam”.
