This is the first year that the contest has been held, with the aim of honouring authors and written works about educational reforms and inspirational stories from all regions across the country, thereby discovering and showing respect towards outstanding contributors to Vietnamese education and training.
Entries must be in Vietnamese and have been published in media between September 5, 2017 and September 5, 2018.
Authors are invited to submit their works to the Education and Times newspaper (Giao duc thoi dai) at 29B Ngo Quyen Street, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi from July 18 to September 15 this year.
The author of the top prize winning work will be provided with an educational trip to the UK for 14 days with a total value of VND130 million (US$5,590).
The award ceremony will be broadcast live on VTV1 channel on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20, 2018.
The contest will be jointly held by the MOET, the Vietnamese Journalists' Association, the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Education and Times newspaper.
