Phan Thiet – Dau giay expressway expected to kicked off in August 2020

BTO – Under Document No.147/TB-VPCP dated on April 7th, 2020 which notices of the Prime Minister’s conclusion on changing the investment form of the North-South expressway’s Eastern section.

According to the Ministry of Investment and Planning, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has agreed with its proposal on transferring all 8 investment projects from Private- Public form to Public form. In which, the Phan Thiet- Dau Giay project is expected to start work in August 2020.

Prime Minister asked the Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Investment and Planning to carry out all procedures to submit the National Assembly for adjustment of investment intention in accordance with the Law on Public Investment.

The Ministry of Transport will coordinate with localities to accelerate site clearance, ensuring basically completion by the time of commencement. The selection of investors must be taken carefully so that only high-capacity, experienced and high-quality investors are chosen.

Data released by the Binh Thuan Department of Transport, Binh Thuan has handed over 980.16 ha, accounting for 80.2 percent of the total site clearance, to the Project Management board. In which, Phan Thiet – Dau Giay section’s covering an area of 291.8 ha and passing by 2 districts of Ham Tan and Ham Thuan Nam, has made up 79.8 percent of site clearance completion.
