27 foreign Non-Government organizations registered for operation in Binh Thuan

BTO – As many as 27 foreign non-government organizations (NGOs) have registered for operating in Binh Thuan in the 2015-2019 periods, according to report of the Department of Planning and Investment on September 19th. Accordingly, the locality has received 27 projects and programs with a total cost of USD 5.4 million.

Also at the working session with the Work Committee of Foreign Non-Government organizations, Vice chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Hoa said that the locality was still facing difficulties in many fields, especially information technology.

The working session was joined by representatives of the People's Aid Coordinating Board (under the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations), Department of Foreign Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Department of External Security (Ministry of Public Security), officials of the Standing Committee of the Working Committee on foreign non-governmental organizations, etc.

The meeting also raised many issues related to policies and circular on management and usage the of the NGOs’ aids, incentives to attract foreign backings and support to the locality.
