| A fact-finding tour in Binh Thuan |
Among the three projects that the University of Liège carried out in Vietnam, there is 1 project conducting in Binh Thuan province under the name “Innovation in disease control in association with management and improvement of the use of by-product in dragon fruit cultivation”. The project’s strategy aims at contributing to developing Agriculture sustainably, actively, safely for the sake of exporting markets. In the meantime, the project also helps to boost local socioeconomic development and environment.
In mid July, the Binh Thuan Department of Sciences and Technology has collaborated with the Belgian experts to discuss on disease on dragon fruit in Ho Chi Minh City. Currently, the Department of Sciences and Technology is completing procedures for the cooperation. The cooperation is expected to provide safe, fresh and eco-friendly dragon fruit to markets domestically and internationally.
