Accordingly, the Department of Planning and Development has given nod to the investment of wastewater treatment plant in La Gi fishing port with the total investment cost of VND 21,813 million. The investment comes from funds for targeted environmental protection supported by the central government and local state budget and public mobilization. The work covers a construction area of 497.77 square meters with the capacity of 1,000 cubic meters per day and night.
After completed, the would-be plant will process all wastewater in La Gi port, ensuring the quality of discharged wastewater in accordance with its current standard. Since then, the environment can be protected, public health can be improved and disease originating from the port’s wastewater will be then reduced.
The construction is projected to start in 2017 and finish in 2018.
