The journey is a meaningful activity with the purpose of promoting propagation and mobilization to heightening awareness of Young Pioneer Organization’s members, teenagers as well as youth in Ho Chi Minh city about national sovereignty over sea and islands and territorial integrity, the importance of frontier areas and islands in socioeconomic development strategy, national defence and security protection.
During the journey, the unit offered 30 scholarships and 30 bikes to poor studious students of Phu Quy district, 100 national flags and 100 life-jackets to local fishermen, with a total value of over VND 100 million, contributed by the piggy bank fund of Young Pioneers Council of District 8.
