TTC Corporation, established in 1979, is a multi-industry investor with professional management in key sectors, such as: hydro-power, thermal power, sugar cane, real estate, hospitality.
TTC now has 15 small and medium sized hydro-power plants with a total capacity of nearly 90 MW, 3 thermal-electricity plants together providing a total output of 100 MW, and a number of turbines producing thermal power from bagasse ensuring power supply for its sugar production and refinery factories. The Corporation’s current development strategy is focusing on clean and renewable energies, including solar energy.
TTC’s representative leader gave a general information about a solar power project which it intends to invest in Binh Thuan. The project has two separate stages: the first stage (2016-2020): implementing on an area of 100 hectares to generate 30MW of electricity; the second one (2020-2030) is planned to deploy on a larger area of 300 hectares with an output of 100 to 300 MW. Land areas used for the project’s implementation are mainly exhausted, unused and unproductive land areas.
Addressing the meeting, Hai acclaimed TTC’s intention to invest in solar power development in Binh Thuan. He asked Departments of Investment and Planning, Industry and Trade, Natural Resources and Environment and localities to create favourable conditions and concrete guide for TTC to make survey and choose the locations appropriate for the implementation of the project, then report to the provincial People’s Committee for consideration and approval. The Corporation will be granted investment certificate after it finishes all procedures as stipulated.
