Thay Thim temple

BTO - This temple is based in the middle of quiet and silent forest on a white sand hill, Tan Tien commune, La Gi town, Binh Thuan province.

This temple was built on December 25, 1879, based on the structure of a temple including a main hall (displaying the Thay Thim’s altar and photos depicting their merits), Tien Hien altar, Vo Ca,… about 4km away from the temple are their tombs made of white sand,  as well as the tombs of their loyal creatures – white and black tigers.

 There are two big festivals celebrated here every year, that is Thay Thim’s Tomb Cleaning and Decoration festival on the fifth of January (lunar year) and Te Thu festival from the fourteenth to sixteenth of September (lunar year). The festivals in this temple could attract more people from  the South Vietnam. This is a folk cultural activity,

Satisfying the religious needs of local people.

Thay Thim temple was recognized as a National Cultural and Historic Heritage by  the Ministry of Culture and Information on September 27, 1997.
