Binh Thuan in an effort to reach effective solutions to improving the business environment

In order to improve the business environment and enhance competitiveness at the provincial level, the Provincial People's Committee has directed departments, branches, and localities to drastically implement solutions to improve the business environment and the provincial competitiveness. In particular, the province is promoting administrative reforms, strengthening the application of information technology in management and administration so that civil servants can be trusted and satisfy all organizations, individuals, and businesses in the province.

On that basis, departments, branches, districts, towns, and cities have directed the correct and full implementation of the simplified business conditions; do not manually impose additional business conditions in any form, etc. Step by step build an equal, open and favorable investment and business environment according to the provisions of the law. Business support, development, and implementation of business support activities have also been paid more attention to and received a positive response and participation from the business community.

Thanks to ultimate efforts to implement solutions to improve the business environment, in 2020, Binh Thuan witnessed nearly 1,400 newly-established enterprises, increasing by 10.28% over the same period last year. The total registered capital is more than 9,300 billion VND. In 2020, the whole province will have over 1,500 granted projects, with a total land area of over 50,000 ha, total registered capital of over 320 trillion VND. Of which, 10 projects have commenced, 03 projects have been put into operation. Particularly in the first 2 months of 2021, there were 225 newly-established enterprises, up 51% over the same period last year, registered capital of 2,070 billion VND, resumed operation of 104 enterprises, increasing by 2.88 times over the same period.

The year 2021 is determined to have important implications for the province's socio-economic development in the new situation. This year is to promote economic recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic and the first year implementing the 14th Provincial Party Committee Congress’s Resolution, the first year of implementing the socio-economic development plan for the period 2021 – 2025, and so on. The successful implementation of the goals and tasks in 2021 will create a premise and strong encouragement for the coming years.

To keep on making more powerful changes in the business environment, improving competitiveness, focusing on completing the overall and specific goals for the year 2021. The province will continue to implement many solutions, including administrative reforms, and a priority is given to improving the environment to attract investments.

In particular, the provincial leaders set out a monthly meeting with businesses and investors so that they can easily and promptly grasp all businesses’ difficulties and troubles during their business activities. Such monthly meeting aims to gap the bridge between the provincial leaders, relevant departments, branches, and localities, and businesses and investors. Also at the meeting, they can listen to real reports on enterprises’ difficulties and problems to promptly handle and resolve them. At the same time, all comments and opinions of businesses and investors about the investment environment, mechanisms, and policies will be raised at the meeting for future business development.

Thanks to the active and drastic implementation of solutions to improving the business environment and competitiveness, hopefully, Binh Thuan will attract many more potential investors, contributing to the province’s socio-economic growth.
