Once the Phan Thiet – Dau Giay expressway comes into operation, it is expected to reduce travel time between Ho Chi Minh City and the central beach city of Phan Thiet from six to two hours.

The expressway has a total investment cost of VND12.5 trillion ($532.71 million). It is basically now completed, with laying asphalt and painting road markings the only two remaining tasks.

Signs have been set up. The expressway allows the maximum speed of 120 kph and requires a minimum speed of 60 kph.
