As noted by the reporter, in recent days, from early morning at the back beach of Mui Ne (Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan province), many fishermen are excited to transport freshly caught seafood ashore. Probably the most fun is the fishermen who is sweet-snails catcher. Mr. Le Van Ngan said that for more than a week, snails are caught every day. Some days, there were more than ten kilograms or at least 3-4 kilograms of snails
However, due to the influence of the Covid-19 epidemic, the purchase price of sweet snails is not as high as in previous years. Specifically, small 2nd class snails were bought by the barn owner for nearly 100,000 VND / kg, large snails about 200,000 VND / kg. It is only 1/2 of every year. However, the output is good and the consumption market is still secure.

In addition, there are sea areas in Phan Thiet city and Tuy Phong district. ..." - Mr. Huynh Quang Huy, Director of Binh Thuan Fisheries Sub-Department, said.
According to fishermen, compared to other occupations, sweet snail farming brings a high income. On average, each night when the trap is released, each coracle brings back about ten kilograms of sweet snails. At a time when the selling sweet snails price is from 200,000 to 300,000 VND/kg, fishermen can earn millions per night.
