BTO – Inherited the results achieved in 2020, in the first months of 2021, the macro-economy of Binh Thuan province has continued to get stable and started to prosper. However, the Covid-19 epidemic wave broke out at the end of April 2021, which was a new complicated strain with a rapid and dangerous spread, appeared in many localities in the province. Especially two main socio-economic development localities of  Phan Thiet city and La Gi town have been strongly affected to the life, production, and business activities of enterprises.

The export activities of Binh Thuan province in the first 10 months of 2021 still increased over the same period last year, according to which exports were estimated at 472.46 million USD, up 24.02% over the same period in 2020. In which, the group of seafood products was estimated at 131.95 million USD, up 0.67%, agricultural products group was estimated at 16.01 million USD, up 40.88%, other commodity groups were estimated at 324.5 million USD, up 36. 04%. Export of major goods to the Asian market was estimated at US$292.03 million, up 19.96%, to the European market at US$54.76 million, up 7.86%, to the Americas market  reached 116.3 million USD, up 74.24%.

The above results are the solutions that all levels, branches, and localities in the province have drastically implemented over the past time such as orientation, businesses in trade promotion support, support policies implementation, etc. In addition, promoting information and propaganda about the market, the demand for exported products to other countries markets, information on food safety regulations, raising awareness and skills in an e-commerce application, e-commerce trading floor to people and businesses in the province.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and relevant localities and units have notified regulations on exporting dragon fruits through Lang Son border gate to enterprises and cooperatives that produce, trade, and export dragon fruits to Vietnam. The Chinese market is known to actively build production and business plans. For export activities, even during the outbreak of the disease with many difficulties, many initiatives have been implemented to support businesses to promote dragon fruit exports to the world market.

It must be affirmed that in the Covid-19 epidemic complex context, the province's businesses find it very difficult to consume goods or disrupt the input supply. Every effort to reconnect the supply chains is a contribution to job creation, GDP growth, and budget revenue generation.

Thanks to these efforts, economic integration has been promoted, and the industry and trade industry has contributed greatly to growth. Another important decisive factor in opening the market and safely adapting to the epidemic is to ensure the circulation of goods because that is "the blood vessel" of the economy.

To create a premise for export in the remaining months of 2021 and the following years, it is required that all levels, sectors, localities, and enterprises develop their market development plans for each product into different markets, ensure to promote advantages, effectively implement EVFTA commitments, and form representatives of businesses and associations in major markets in the EU region. To improve the effectiveness of export promotion, it is necessary to step up marketing and export promotion activities based on market segmentation research, identifying key and potential markets, enhancing electronic transactions, applying information technology, and e-commerce in marketing and trade promotion, advertising on the website, sending e-mail, etc.
