Binh Thuan student won first prize at the Vietnam Children’s Fine Art Competition

BTO – The painting, named “Silent Sacrifices” was drawn by 8-grader Nguyen Vu Nhu Uyen (student of Tan An Junior Secondary School, La Gi town) won the first prize in Vietnam Children’s Artistic Contest 2021, launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This is one of the three first prizes. Besides, the province has another third prize and one consolation prize at this competition.

Reportedly, this 2021 Vietnam Children's Fine Art Competition is biennially held to encourage children to promote their fine art talents while educating and positively impacting the children on aesthetic acquisition.

Consequently, after 3-month of launching, there are over 5,000 works sent to the program from 45 out of 63 provinces/cities. As a result, 409 works have been selected to be put on display, three of those were placed first, 6 won second prizes, 10 bagged third prizes, 20 obtained consolidation prizes, and 10 collective prizes.

Those selected works vividly feature a variety of themes in terms of love for the homeland, children’s life, activities, entertainment, love for Uncle Ho, grandparents, parents, family, and other issues of environmental protection, Covid-19 epidemic prevention, etc.

The exhibition is now being held online via the website http://ape.gov.vn and http://trienlamvhnt.vn, from September 20th to December 31st, 2021.
