Binh Thuan's dragon fruit seeks market expansion in India |
This dragon fruit promotion conference aims to introduce Vietnam’s potiential exports of dragon fruit and expand its market to India, boosting cooperation opportunities and integration competence between the two parties.
After the conference, the Vietnamese delegation will meet with Trade Promotion Council of India on September 26th and attend an International Food Fair, named “Annapoorna World of Food India” in Mumbai on the following day.
Reportedly, Binh Thuan has a total area of over 27,000 hectares of growing dragon fruit, and a yearly output of over 600,000 tons. Binh Thuan is known as Vietnam’s largest dragon fruit growing locality, meeting great demand of dragon fruit consumption and exports domestically and internationally. The locality wishes to expand the local specialty fruit to cities and localities of India as a part of its worldwide promotion program.
