Binh Thuan has two more dishes recognized among Vietnam’s top 50 famous special foods

Under the consultation and choice of functional organizations such as: National Office of  Intellectual Property of Vietnam, Southern Fruit Research Institute (directly under Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development), Vietnam Tourism Association, domestic and international travel agents, researchers,  the community of Vietnamese record-holders, readers of websites kyluc.vn andtopvietnam.vn, “Top 50 Vietnam’s famous special foods 2015” was officially announced by the Vietnam Book of Records.

Specifically,  two special dishes of Binh Thuan, namely: bánh hỏi lòng heo Phú Long and Tuy Phong sterculia foetida sap have been enlisted. Therefore, over three phrases of selection (2013,2014, 2015), 8 specialities of Binh Thuan have been realized as Vietnam Records so far. They are Binh Thuan dragon fruit,  lẩu thả - a special hotpot made from fresh fish (2013), Phan Thiet fish-sauce, half-dried squids, bánh canh chả cá - rice spaghetti cooked with fried fish and bánh căn - Vietnamese rice cake (2014), Phu Long’s bánh hỏi lòng heo  and Tuy Phong sterculia foetida sap (2015).
