Binh Thuan delegation led by Secretary of the provincial Party Duong Van An attended an opening ceremony of the program linking the strength of Vietnam’s tourism in Ho Chi Minh City on August 8. The event aims at seeking ways to gain international tourism growth and comprehensive recovery of Vietnam’s tourism.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a meeting with localities and businesses to restore and develop tourism in Vietnam in general, tourism in localities in particular, between the Association Traveling to Vietnam with leaders of provinces and cities such as Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Lam Dong, Tay Ninh, Dong Thap, Can Tho, An Giang, Kien Giang.
The Program Organisers said that they will organize tours to destinations in Ho Chi Minh City and other southern localities for representatives of tourism departments, tourism promotion centers, and associations of tourism and travel businesses to strengthen Vietnam’s tourism connectivity in the coming time.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh introduced the province’s potential, development opportunities, and challenges of Binh Thuan tourism now and in the future. For Binh Thuan province, tourism is identified as one of the key economic sectors, and the general direction for development in the coming years. To achieve the goal, the province will focus on arranging facilities and infrastructure in preparation for the National Tourism Year in Binh Thuan 2023 as well as the national and international events in all three fields of culture, sports and tourism sectors at the end of 2022 and the whole year of 2023. The locality also makes every effort to call for strategic investors in large-scale projects in association with the development of commercial and entertainment services.
Attending the program, a tourist stall “Binh Thuan Tourism” has been brought to the event to introduce the province’s accommodation system (hotels, resorts, tourist areas), and services establishments so that more and more tourists and travel investors, and agencies can get better acquainted with the Phan Thiet – Binh Thuan destination.
